Shannon Clemmons

Shannon is Chief Strategy Officer for Eques Health. Shannon was a co-founder and owner of a healthcare staffing business in Tennessee. Early on she was responsible for many aspects of the entire staffing process from recruiting physicians, negotiating contracted labor rates, and scheduling of the physicians for all facilities. During her tenure as a business owner, she also functioned as Senior VP of Strategy and Marketing. Shannon played a key role in the growth and development of the company resulting in a successful 25-million-dollar merger/transaction in 2015. With a love for the arts, she created a multi-media brand for children and served as the writer and director of the project. Most recently she has founded The UP Life, a media and marketing company, where she is the Creative Director and CEO of special projects. Currently, she is focused on developing processes and strategies to improve efficiencies in the connected care space that result in better overall outcomes for the patients and the health systems. Whether selling a product or creating engagement, she believes it all begins with telling a story that connects.  Shannon graduated from APSU with a degree in Corporate Communications.
